Volunteer at CymaSpace
There is no "I" in team, but there is a "U" in volunteer! We are looking for passionate, energetic individuals who believe in making arts, media, and technology accessible and inclusive.
Why Volunteer with Us?
Whether you are a fluent signer, an ASL student, a software coder, a sound engineer, or someone with a heart for community hospitality, CymaSpace and Woodstock Cafe offer meaningful ways to give back.
Volunteers work alongside Deaf artists, technicians, and mentors, gaining invaluable experience in inclusive design, event production, and disability justice in the arts.
Ways You Can Get Involved
Cafe & Event Hospitality
Help greet visitors, assist with check-in at Woodstock Cafe events, support Sign Squad meetups, and ensure our community space remains clean, welcoming, and accessible.
SignKids Youth Chaperone
Assist our Deaf ASL mentors during weekend SignKids cohorts. Help guide art activities, coordinate craft supplies, and support family orientations.
Hardware & Makerspace Lab
Are you passionate about microcontrollers, 3D printing, circuit soldering, or LED arrays? Help maintain tools and build prototypes in our makerspace lab.
Media Lab & Video Production
Assist with lighting, camera setup, video editing, caption syncing, and post-production for CymaSpace Media Program productions and community streams.
